McKay hosts Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon at Whangārei head office
On Friday 8 March, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, along with Dr Shane Reti, the Minister of Health, staff from the PM’s office, and security, were warmly welcomed by McKay at our Whangārei head office.
The atmosphere was lively as guests and staff engaged in comprehensive discussions during a meet and greet session, allowing members of our McKay team the opportunity to share their expertise and enthusiasm for their diverse roles and divisions. A highlight of the occasion was the introduction of our local electrical apprentices, who have recently embarked on their career paths.
During the visit, McKay Managing Director, Lindsay Faithfull, provided insight into the cutting-edge technology being developed by our sister company, Naut, which is advancing the electrification of maritime transport. Additionally, Lindsay showcased McKay’s dedication to the renewable energy sector by highlighting our latest projects and innovations in this field.
This visit underscored the significance of collaboration between the government and private companies in harnessing technology for the advancement of New Zealand’s interests.
